Subarus new generation All-Wheel Drive Forester has added to its accolades, with victory in a comparison test of fourmedium Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs)in the November edition of Wheels magazine.
Fresh from its Drive Best Small SUV award last week, the range-topping Forester 2.5i-S has beaten tough competition from the Volkswagen Tiguan Comfortline, Mazda CX-5 Touring and Ford Escape ST-Line to rate 8/10 in the comparison.
Wheels summarises Forester by saying: So, its the fulsome Forester that elevates itself above all with sheer effortlessness. It simply rises above the trees of normal SUVs.
The in-depth 10-page assessment says: Over five generations, the Foresters cabin has gently evolved around owners need for space, clarity, storage, personal comfort and ease, while paying lip-service to fashion, and its now at a point where theres precious little to fault. The tall ceiling, deep glasshouse, narrow pillars, low dash and lofty, sumptuous seating collude to make the Subaru seem cavernous, airy and inviting. Attention to detail is pleasing too
